Shanghai: Oscar Wing Defense

Oscar Wing was born in Hong Kong in 1879 and immigrated to Shanghai with his parents at the age of 15. He later became a successful businessman and philanthropist in China. In 1924, he established the Shanghai Oscar Wing Defense Society (上海奥斯卡翼防会) as a charitable organization dedicated to defending and protecting Chinese citizens from foreign aggression.
