Monaco's forward, Benjamin Yedder, has expressed his desire to stay with the club long-term and aims to help them win the Ligue 1 title in the upcoming season.

In an interview with French newspaper Le Parisien, Yedder said: "I want to be here for many years, I want to play with Monaco, I want to win titles."

Yedder joined Monaco from Real Madrid in January 2019 and has since made over 50 appearances for the club, scoring 34 goals in all competitions.

He added that he is looking to continue his development at Monaco and help the team achieve their goals.

"I have a lot of potential and I want to show it," he said. "I want to be a top striker, I want to score goals and help my team win titles."

Yedder also spoke about the importance of the upcoming season and the challenges ahead.

"The challenge is always big when you come back after a break," he said. "But we have a great squad and a good coach who will guide us through this difficult period."

The 28-year-old前锋补充说:“在恢复后回来总是很困难的挑战。但是我们有一个很好的队伍和一个教练指导我们通过这个艰难时期。”

Yedder's comments come as Monaco look to bounce back from a disappointing end to last season, which saw them finish second in the Ligue 1 table behind PSG.

However, they are confident of competing for the title again this season and believe that Yedder's arrival was a key factor in their success.

"Benjamin has been a huge addition to our squad and I'm sure he will help us achieve our goal of winning the league," said manager Christophe Galtier.

As Monaco prepare for the new season, Yedder is set to make his return to action against Nantes on Sunday.
